Amazing staff

No matter where you go, you will have to deal with staff or customer service and not everyone is good at it. While on many Royal Caribbean cruise ships, we have encountered a variety of different skill levels in customer service. We had 1 guy who was so bad, he never brought a bucket of ice in 7 days and we asked for 2 extra towels and never got them even though we asked several times. We ended up going through his manager and we NEVER do that.

Anyway, I am bringing this up because the staff we are dealing with on this cruise, are amazing! Charlie, our room attendant goes above and beyond each time he cleans our room, I think he sleeps in the hall because I always see him there no matter what time it is waiting to do something for someone. Always so energetic, smiling and so happy to see us. I wish I could have him every time. We found out later, that this was his last sailing for a couple months. He is going home to see his kids.
Kenny is the guy who has served us breakfast since we had our first issue 6 mornings ago. He too is a very friendly gentleman who goes above and beyond. I told him this morning we were going to the MDR (main dining room) for breakfast tomorrow because they have chorizo where Chops did not. He said he would get it for me. We want you to come back here so I will get you whatever you want. And he did. He also knows I want, to start learning Spanish. He is teaching me small phrases and telling me what it means. I thought it was because of a tip but we also had issues in the main dining room and the manager has made it a point to stop by our table each meal and let us know he sees us and asks us how things are going and making sure we are happy. When we cruise, we leave a tip for the main dining team and room attendant, and this time we will leave a nice tip for our breakfast server.
The staff make our cruise so much better and we look forward to talking to them and getting to know them throughout each cruise we take. Thank you for the picture, Charlie!
