The Art of Packing

The art of packing is a practiced skill that not many are good at until they master it by many trips on their agenda to get better, or they were a boy/girl scout at one time in their lives and have Gail Worthen to be your guide. (Daughters GS leader who was amazing and taught me a lot)

Whether it be rolling daily clothes together, packing cubes, or just getting them into the suitcase without forgetting something, each traveler has their own style and stuffing levels. Stuffing levels? Yep, you read it right. Stuffing levels.
I am full to brim over Packer and 10 on the Stuffing level. I use packing cubes, roll daily clothes, Count outfits, and STILL have to have 2 people close the suitcase.

1 to hold the suitcase down, the other to mumble and cuss under their breath because my last-minute shoes and 6 added outfits are busting at the seams in the suitcase and cannot close the fully expanded monstrosity.

In my defense, it is hard to know what the weather or my bipolar body and brain will be like on any given day!!  A girl needs choices!!  So for now, I have all of my gear, in packing cubes, rolled for daily usage, and a dented hard-top suitcase ready to go to Orlando before heading on the ship for our 13 day........wait, I forgot my swimsuit!
