The promise of vacation is always so exciting. And no matter what or how you do it, there is nothing like changing your lifestyle for a few days, a week or like me this vacation, 12 days off work, or 16 days total to travel. Vacation doesn't only mean traveling somewhere. You could take a long weekend to get errands done, doctor appts or take a staycation, a vacation in your own backyard.
The point is, that everyone loves vacation time. But, it can be stressful depending on what your vacation is supposed to look like. Packing, transportation, hotels, where to eat, what to visit, who to see, cost. The list could go on and on. Once you get to your travel destination, you spend time relaxing and enjoying but it can be exhausting trying to see and do everything.
Then, you are home-bound where the circus comes round again. Lord, the repacking, making sure you didn't forget anything, and then, once home, unpacking, washing, meals, grocery shopping if you were gone a while, and dealing with jetlag if you were far from home flying in. So many things. I love to travel but boy, I cannot wait until retirement. My time will be my time and no need to rush and avoid the stress.
I also believe in travel agents. They are there to help with the stress of planning, and I can spend months researching and making plans for a trip so they help. Also, they work well with other TAs and bounce ideas off each other so it's not just 1 TA working for you. It can be multiple.
Reach out to your nearest Travel advisor. It doesn’t cost you a cent but they can make a difference in your stress levels.
See how well I can plan your next adventure...
