One thing I am not really good at is conflict or confrontation. I have always been the one to give in during any argument just so I don't have anyone upset with me. When I turned 50, something in my brain snapped and I am no longer taking what is being dished out. Do me wrong once, shame on you, second time, shame on me. I am also not afraid to walk away and never deal with you again. No matter what.
Business establishments or restaurants are a little different. I will tell you you are doing a fantastic job and the service was great, but at the same time, I will bust your chops if the food or service is poor. I do lots of reviews every month on Google for places I have visited.
Breakfast this morning. Where are we going? So many choices but Chris is adamant about going back to our number 1 problem child, Chops Grill. Chris likes it because it's a privilege to get in due to us being in a suite. I think it is a status thing for him. 😉 I, on the other hand, don't care. You did a horrible job as a manager making sure customers were taken care of and food was coming out of the kitchen. They all have food so I don't need to go back to Chops.
Chris won and we went back to Chops this morning we were welcomed back with open arms and it was almost like they saved the best seat and wait staff for when we arrived. Seems like they almost knew we were going to show up today. The waiter, who was new to us, specifically said he knew what happened 2 mornings ago and he wanted to make sure we didn't have to deal with any issues. (Our last waiter was in the back of the restaurant serving) I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich which was not on the menu.
The food was good and I actually was impressed. He never batted an eye that my order was not on the menu. We ordered quickly, served in a reasonable time frame, and the waiter was so sweet. His name is Kenny. He says "Like Kenny Rogers." Once we were done with our breakfast, he came back and told us to have a great evening. Chris told him we would be back tonight for dinner. He made it clear he would be our waiter at dinner as well so we were taken care of. I believe him. The food was hot, tasted good, and no conflict. Worked out this time. Thanks, Kenny!! "Kenny, like Kenny Rogers.
