Entertainment, activites & Games

When on a cruise, there is always a long list of activities that you can join and enjoy. Depending on your likes and interests, you can keep busy for most of the day. Each night, while you are out for dinner and shows, you get what's called a compass when your bed gets turned down. The Compass is a daily packet of all the sales, activities, and shows throughout the day and into the evening going on for the day. Allows you to plan today for what tomorrow will look like. Entertainers from singing, to dancing to magic and so on. The first night for us was a comedian. We did not take the opportunity to see him due to a long day and we were up pretty early that morning. Night 2 was called "An Invitation to Dance."

This is a show we have seen previously and ended up going "home" and watching a movie on the TV. Night 3 was Grammy winner Darryl J. Williams. We did go to that show and let me just say, he outdid himself! The album he put out in 2019 was called Mind of a Tenor. His voice was impressive, his sense of humor was classic and the show was enjoyed by the whole theater.

He sang Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Christopher Cross, and the list goes on. 45 minutes of pure magic! Speaking of magic, dinner ran late last night so no show last night but Chris is not very big on Magicians anyway.

Activities are learning to speak French, Spanish, and Italian. 2 classes each. Movies outside on the pool deck, live music everywhere, Meet the crew, shopping, dancing, gambling, and the list goes on. I love to be on the water, on my balcony, listening to the ocean as the ship pushes through to the next wave. Peaceful, noisy, calming. Not on the list but I do it often.

Tonight is a 2 1/2 hour movie about Whitney Houston. I want to see it but not sure Chris will. Starts at 7. Headlining show is a woman by the name of Mary-Jess soprano vocals. I will post video of her later. More to come.

PS, never made it to see Mary-Jess. We went to see the Whitney movie instead. Unfortunately, it was cold, windy and the movie was 3 hours long. We did 2 1/2. I couldn't do anymore.
